The Split Mirror was designed with the Japanese concept of 'Ma' in mind, which expresses the importance of a pause, gap or a negative space — as being equally significant to a whole. The mirror frame is made up of two wooden halves that are separated by a break that allows the eye to contemplate the space in between.

The Split Mirror is available in two sizes and can be installed vertically or horizontally.

MEET THE DESIGNER

Zoë Mowat

Zoë Mowat established her studio in 2010 with a focus on furniture and product design shaped by material, colour and form. Her work combines a sculptural, intuitive sensibility with a strong commitment to function and the way objects are experienced in everyday life.

Based in New York, Mowat has exhibited internationally and collaborated with brands across North America, Europe and Asia. Her practice is defined by thoughtful material exploration and a distinctive balance of utility and expression.
