The Saga chair is an effort to find the harmony in a small lounge chair with a great seating experience. A seemingly oversized seat lends to the visual comfort of the chair. Still the chair is rather petite in size and fits well into smaller spaces. The presence of the chair is a combination of Japanese humbleness and Scandinavian material sensibility. In Norwegian the word Saga refers to the ancient stories of the North. With this chair we are writing a new story from Saga prefecture.

MEET THE DESIGNER

Anderssen & Voll

Founded in Oslo in 2009 by Torbjørn Anderssen and Espen Voll, Anderssen & Voll is a Norwegian design studio known for contemporary furniture, lighting and objects for the home. Both designers were previously founding partners of the influential design collective Norway Says.

Their work is rooted in Scandinavian design principles, with a focus on function, materiality, proportion and understated character. By responding to cultural shifts and the way people live, Anderssen & Voll create thoughtful, enduring pieces that feel both contemporary and timeless.
